How do I work as an Expert?
As an Expert on JustAnswer, you can help people while earning money by answering questions online. You’ll be able to use your expertise to help people diagnose their vehicle repair issues and figure out whether they can solve it themselves or need to take their vehicle to a local shop. Set your own hours and work anytime, anywhere.
When do I work?
As an independent contractor on the JustAnswer platform, you can work as much as or as little as you want. There are no scheduled shifts or minimum hours requirements. Many Experts have full-time jobs or own their own businesses in their specialty, and they supplement their incomes by answering questions.

How much can I earn as an Expert?
You’re your own boss at JustAnswer! You decide how much you bring in depending on the volume of questions you choose to answer.
Requirements to apply
Car Experts: Mechanic or vehicle technician license or certification from a state or nationally recognized institution (i.e.ASE), plus a minimum 2 years of relevant employment. Or, at least 5 years of employment as a mechanic or technician without certification.
Motorcycle Experts: ASE motorcycle mechanic certification, plus a minimum 2 years relevant employment as a motorcycle mechanic or technician. Or, at least 5 years of employment as a motorcycle mechanic or technician without certification.
RV Experts: RVDA, RVSA, or RVIA certification, plus a minimum 2 years of relevant employment (e.g. RV mechanic or technician). Or, at least 5 years of employment as an RV mechanic or technician without certification.
Truck and heavy equipment Experts: Truck or heavy-equipment mechanic license or certification from a state or nationally recognized institution (e.g. ASE), plus a minimum 2 years of relevant mechanic employment. Or, a minimum of 5 years relevant employment without certification.
Boat Experts: 2 years of relevant experience plus marine mechanic license or certification from a state or nationally recognized institution (i.e. ABYC), OR a minimum two (5) years of relevant employment.
