How to get the one-click greeting tool

In a recent survey, 82% of you told us that you'd like to have a one-click tool to quickly send predefined first responses or greetings to customers. We heard you, and we've delivered!

You now have the option to set a predefined greeting for each of your admitted categories. To enable this new feature, you must add/update all of your category greetings. Follow the instructions below to update your category greetings and enable the one-click greeting tool.

  1. Click here to see your admitted categories >>
    NOTE: If you get an "Access Denied" message, it means you are not logged in. If you are logged in but still see this error, please log out and log back in.
  2. Click on the Edit link next to the category you'd like to add or update a greeting for
  3. Type in a predefined greeting you'd like to send to customers in this category in the "Greeting Text" field
  4. It's up to you to determine what you'd like your greetings to say, of course, but here are a few suggestions to assist with customer satisfaction:
    • Introduce yourself
    • Welcome the customer to the site
    • Let the customer know you're reviewing their question
    • Indicate you'll be back soon
    • EXAMPLE: Keep it short and sweet, something like: "Hi, I'm John. Welcome to JustAnswer. I'm reviewing your question now, and will post back with your reply momentarily."
  5. Be sure to click the "On" radio button under the greeting text and then the "Submit Profile" button to confirm any changes.
  6. Repeat steps 2-5 for each category you'd like to have a predefined greeting

Please note that we will only enable the one-click greeting feature for Experts who have predefined greetings for all admitted categories

    This feature would be a lot more useful if we had more than 150 letters, 500 letters would allow enough space to present an impressive introduction,

    I'm not seeing the option anywhere.

    Also, I'd love to see an option to have other pre-written things we can use as a template - like a troubleshooting template we can insert into the question and then customize for the question and one asking if the customer needs any further help and prompt them to close the question and another for suggestive selling the premium services, etc

    OK, so now that I have followed steps 1-6 and set up the greeting, how do I use the feature?

    Hi all, thanks for updating your greetings. The next step will be for us to review the updated greetings from all Experts and then we will reach out when we're ready to turn on the feature.

    I have the same question as phred5. I updated my account with the greetings. How do I use it??

    Hi all, we plan to enable this feature to the first batch of Experts this Thursday. If you are included, you will get an email about it. Otherwise, we plan to continue adding Experts every week when we see that you've updated all of your mini profile greetings.

    Looks like the feature was enabled this morning 7/28/16). I was not able to edit or reply. I turned the feature OFF. Seems to be working OK now.

    Hi Kevin, you won't be able to edit the greeting on the Q&A page but you can edit any of your default greetings by going to your mini profile settings.

    I don't see this feature when I click on a question. Has it been implemented for my account?

    Hi Yvette, if you don't see a predefined greeting when you open a question, then this feature has not been enabled for you. We are adding more Experts weekly (Thursdays) and to be included, make sure ALL of your mini profiles have a greeting.

    Hi Anh,

    I the one click greeting still not turned on for all experts yet? Because I´ve got several emails from JA that made the impression that it now is switched on for all customers. I have a greeting in all my mini-profiles and it is not automatically pasted for me.
