Expert Tip for Experts

 

Refunds are an unfortunate but inherent part of our work. If you are corresponding with a customer in Q&A and they request a refund, you can alert our Customer Service team by clicking on the red flag icon in the top right corner of the page and select the Customer Service Refunds option. You will be asked to add a comment about why you think the customer is requesting a refund.

By reporting customer refund requests, you help our Customer Care agents better understand the refund reasons and possibly even save the refunds. Note that you should never try to help customers with site issues and instead direct them to Customer Service.

    I am optimistic that there is opportunity to both serve and profit here in my area of expertise. The tool of this site is something I thought of in 1997, but the www was not ready for it. I wanted to add the ability to allow the askers to send a picture. Most people do not know how to describe my area of service, that is plumbing. Might I suggest that as an option for the consumer, not just the expert.

    Also I visioned having a file of pictures that I could reply with that reflect the end product of a properly done P-Trap or what ever. People can see a picture and get it...Some askers have a limited typing and syntax and verbal skills. As Rod Stewart sang in 73', "Every picture tells a story". I realize this benefit is somewhat limited to my trade, but everyone needs plumbing. That is why I have over 9 million views on my site.
