TEST: Green Card Appliance Direct Sell (ENDED)

Starting on May 25th, we're excited to offer a pilot Green Card Application service that connects you with customers who are looking for Immigration Law Experts to help them complete the green card application process. With this new service, we deliver customers with green card needs directly to you and handle payments up-front so you can focus on doing what you do best: help customers.

With the Green Card Application service, customers expect you to provide: 

  • Introductory phone call to get customer needs 
  • Help customer complete and review I-130, I-485, I-864, and G-325A forms and supporting evidence, and file application with the U.S. government

How it works? 

Unlike premium services currently offered on JustAnswer, this new service is offered to customers on a separate platform, Except for the terms below, the same Terms of Service and Expert Agreement govern services provided through this new platform. When you accept a green card application request from a customer, you are responsible for providing the customer your own version of an engagement letter (such as a limited scope engagement letter) and perform conflicts check. 

Green Card Application Service

When a customer makes a green card application request, Experts in the immigration Law category will be notified via email. The email will include basic information about the request such as the customer's request type and application status so you can decide whether you want to fulfill. You can also opt-out of receiving this email if you do not want to participate in this pilot. 

To accept a request, reply to the email notification. Requests are accepted on a first come, first served basis. Once you get confirmation that you have accepted a request, you will be provided with the customer's contact information. 

After you've completed all items included in the service, introductory phone call and completion and review of necessary forms, evidence, and submission of application, you will get 100% of the customer's payment. You may follow-up with a phone call after reviewing the forms and evidence to provide additional information. You will be asked to pay a per service marketing fee to JustAnswer through a separate transaction from a credit card or PayPal account not used to receive service payments. 

How much does the service cost and how much do I earn? 

Customers pay $1,800 for this service. Experts will pay a $900 per service marketing fee to JustAnswer through a separate transaction from a credit card or PayPal account not used to receive service payments. 

If you elect to continue to represent the customer and to provide the customer additional service after concluding the Green Card transaction through JustAnswer, all further engagements shall be considered off-platform transactions between you and the customer. You are responsible for payments for any additional service and you get to keep 100% of the earnings. This service shall not be subject to any JustAnswer guarantees and the customer may reach out to you directly for refunds of these further engagements. 

What if a customer wants a refund? 

We know that there may be unexpected reasons a customer may want a refund. In the case where you've provided the Declaration of Trust but the customer wants a refund, you will keep the earned payout. 

During the introductory call, you may find out that a customer may not need a green card. In this case, please let us know and instruct the customer to contact Customer Support. You won't receive payment for the Green Card Application service since you and/or the customer decided not to proceed. However, you will receive an Amazon gift card as a thank you for your participation.
