Every Friday, the Expert Ops team will recap the latest enhancements, contributions from the Expert community, highlight the week's outstanding Experts, and preview the week ahead.
Friendly Reminder
The right way to IR: We frequently get questions from Experts about the proper way to IR. An information request, or IR, is used to collect more information in order to provide a complete answer to a question. IRs can be a greeting followed by clarifying questions or questions to verify information already provided by the customer. An IR, however, should NOT tell customers that you will come back later or to let you know when the customer is ready to start. These use cases are against the IR policy.
Experts Needed for Press Interviews
To continue to amplify awareness about the range of expertise available through JustAnswer and drive more customers to you, we are looking for Experts who are interested in being interviewed by members of the media about issues within your areas of expertise. Participation will help build your profile and help us reach a larger audience.
Below are currently available requests:
  • Event Planning: An Expert who can speak on how to throw an Emmy party
  • Medical: We are looking for multiple physicians who would be willing to be interviewed about flu vaccines
  • Medical: We are looking for doctors who would be willing to talk about the age-old question of the dangers of swallowing gum
  • OB/GYN: We are looking for Ob/Gyn(s) who can discuss what pregnant women (or people planning to get pregnant) need to know about getting a flu vaccine
  • Health: We are looking for someone with an expertise in what to do when you just can’t sleep and always feel tired
  • Personal Finance: We are looking for Experts to indicate what people need to do to protect their financial information moving into the holiday shopping season
  • Cyber Security: We are looking for cyber security experts to give consumers tips on how to protect their personal information
Feedback Buttons are here [TECH ONLY]

We're excited to introduce Feedback Buttons, a new way for you to share your feedback on every single question. Located on the Request Center, the feedback buttons allow you to mark why you might skip certain questions. Your feedback will help us take appropriate actions and direct questions that you want to work on.

The feedback buttons are currently only available to Tech Experts. We plan to roll this out to Experts in other categories soon. You can learn more here >>

Earn more with Auto Premium Services
Auto Phone Call and Auto Secure Remote Assistance are popular with customers and a great way for Experts to earn more on the site. While most Auto Premium Service requests are fulfilled by Experts, there are still many available for you to both help customers and earn more. Below are categories with the most available Auto Premium Service requests:

JustAmazing Experience

Please join us in congratulating this week's JustAmazing Experience recipient: Jay (FixUrNissan)! Recently, Jay helped a customer with a power steering issue for a 2006 Infiniti M35. This customer had always relied on his son-in-law to service his car but after moving to a new state, he was left to do his own maintenance. Jay guided the customer to the problem and was spot on with the answer. At the end of the exchange, the customer had this to say about his experience:

"Jay was such a great help! I was in a very difficult and scary situation with this happening to my car while out of town, and his expertise and advice put me completely at ease. And, he was right!!"
