Starting on June 26th, we're excited to offer several pilot Secure Remote Assistance services to connect you with customers who are looking for Computer Experts to help them troubleshoot various computer and device issues. With these services, we deliver customers with computer issues directly to you and handle payments up-front so you can focus on doing what you do best: help customers.
Types of services offered:
- Computer Remote Support
- Software Download and Installation Support
- Computer Performance Optimization and Tuneup
- Virus Removal
With each service, customers expect you to provide:
- Phone call to get more information and/or give instructions on how to set up secure remote session
- Complete requested service
How it works?
Unlike premium services currently offered on JustAnswer, these new services are offered to customers on a separate platform, www.justanswer.net. Except for the terms below, the same Terms of Service and Expert Agreement govern services provided through this new platform.
When a customer makes a secure remote assistance request, Experts in the Computer categories will be notified via email. The email will include basic information about the request such as the customer's request type, device information, and payout value so you can decide whether you want to fulfill. You can also opt-out of receiving this email if you do not want to participate in this pilot.
To accept a request, reply to the email notification. Requests are accepted on a first come, first served basis. Once you get confirmation that you have accepted a request, you will be provided with the customer's contact information. Customers are expecting a phone call from you so please call the customer to introduce yourself, get informational information, and discuss next steps.
After you've completed all items included in the service, phone call and troubleshooting the issue, you will get 100% of the customer's payment on the same PayPal account on your JustAnswer's Expert account.
How much do I earn?
The amount you will earn for completing the service will be included in the request email.
What if a customer wants a refund?
We know that there may be unexpected reasons a customer may want a refund. In the case where you've successfully completed the requested service but the customer wants a refund, you will keep the earned payout.
During the initial phone call, you may find out that a customer may not need the requested service. In this case, please let us know and instruct the customer to contact Customer Support. You won't receive payment for the service since you and/or the customer decided not to proceed.
