Getting to know: RichieMe

By JA Quality |
Today, we're getting to know Richie, one of most long-standing software Experts:
He averages 83 posts a day.  That's a lot of work!  We managed to catch him in a quiet moment and ask a few fun questions.
I was surfing the internet and saw an article about how you could make money helping people online. I thought this was a great concept, so applied, and was lucky enough to be accepted!
  • What was your first impression and why were you interested in working for us?

Too good to be true! I started answering questions and seeing my account balance grow, but never really believed I would actually see real money. But at the end of the month, there it was, in my account. So from then on I knew this was a serious opportunity.

The Mods! :) And the ability to help people from all around the world with a variety of problems.

  • What other work do you do?

Being a dad to my son and a husband to my wife. Not really work (though it can seem so at times :)

  • What do you like to do in your free time?

I like to read, fish and spend time with the family. Plus of course I am the resident computer guy in my neighborhood, working with a currency of favors.

  • What would you say are the most important things in your life?

Being Happy. If you are happy, there is a better chance the people around you will be too.

  • What words do you live by?

Respect (for yourself and others)

Positive (it's not all  bad)

  • If you could choose an actor to play you in a film of your life, who would it be and why?

Johnny Depp - I don't know what skills or qualities the actor would need in order to play me, but he pretty much has them all.

  • Which character from fiction is most like you?

Dr Dolittle (The neighborhood kids are always bringing injured and sick animals here).

  • Would you be the hero or the villain of a story?

A villain who is secretly the hero.

  • Tea or coffee?
Tea (though I drink way too much coffee!!)
  • Film or book?
Book, then you decide how the characters look and sound.
  • Dog or cat?
Cats, we have two.
  • What is your favorite sport and why?
Football (soccer) I like the tension that builds up for the one or two goals on average per game.
  • If you could go to any country in the world, where you would go?
India, been many times and I love it there.
  • If you could go back in time to any period in history, what time would you choose?

60's in California. I would have loved to have been a part of the time and movement

Excellent - Problem fixed at a fraction of the cost, what a deal!

Thanks for talking to us, Richie.  Hope you get to enjoy lots of lovely World Cup matches!
